A happy Jesus, who radiates good vibes in any environment he is in, was conceived by visual artist Cusco Rebel. With this idea in mind, he created the image of a “Happy Jesus” with the purpose of “bringing joy and improving people’s lives”.
Recognized for his graffiti both in Brazil and abroad, Cusco does not identify with a specific religion. However, he believes in the power of faith and love of “the most famous human being who ever walked the planet,” as he himself says.
For Cusco, the world lacks good vibes, more positive, optimistic thinking, joy and gratitude. “When people come across Happy Jesus, they immediately smile, because the image reaches their hearts, which is a sign that art is fulfilling its function.”
The sculpture is part of the toy art movement, which mixes design, art and urbanity.
As a decorative object, “the Happy Jesus is available in all colors to represent a diversity of thoughts and beliefs”
